These sculptures were developed during my studies at the Accademia del Giglio, Florence (2025). The work set out to revisit a classical approach to figurative sculpture. The photographs document the pieces in progress or near completion; due to time constraints and the lack of firing facilities, none were fully finished. All works were modelled in solid clay.
Working in Florence offered the rare experience of being continuously shaped by the city’s sculptural presence. While Michelangelo forms an unavoidable reference point, it was Marino Marini’s work that held my attention most strongly. The images presented here serve as a personal record of my studio process in Italy.
